Wendy

Veterinary Assistant

Wendy Alarcón is a veterinary assistant whose journey began in 2019 as a kennel assistant, but her love for animals started long before that. She has owned dogs since childhood and never imagined she could turn that lifelong passion into a career — yet today, she brings that same love and devotion into every patient she cares for. Her dedication quickly led her into a full veterinary assistant role in both general practice and urgent care, where she shines by supporting busy teams, assisting in procedures, and giving a little extra love to every nervous pet who needs it.

In 2024, Wendy proudly graduated from San Joaquin Valley College with her Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology, further strengthening her skills and commitment to the field. She is now excited to begin the next chapter of her career at Inland Empire Veterinary Surgical Specialty (IEVSS), where she looks forward to growing even further and providing exceptional care to every patient she meets.

Outside the hospital, Wendy’s world revolves around family. The highlight of her life is her toddler granddaughter, who keeps her laughing, moving, and happily chasing tiny footsteps all day long. When she’s not in “grandma mode,” Wendy enjoys Zumba, hiking, and spending time with the people she loves.

At home, Wendy’s life is a joyful, bustling zoo — and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She shares her heart and home with three English Bulldogs, two rescued tabby cats, one Frenchie, one Cane Corso, one Maltese, and two senior Chihuahuas she lovingly inherited from her grandpa. With a crew like that, there’s never a dull moment, just endless love, chaos, and wagging tails.
